Temporarily Disable Face ID on iPhone X


“There is no Touch ID on iPhone X, so i enabled Face ID on it. But now i want to temporarily disable Face ID on my iPhone X, anyone can help me with it?”

Face ID is just as secure as our Touch ID, and when you don’t want other people to use your Face ID and get into your iPhone X, you can disable it. Now see below steps and learn how to do it when you need.

Temporarily Disable Face ID on iPhone X

Just follow below steps and temporarily disable your Face ID on iPhone X.

1.Unlock your iPhone X, press Volume up button, Volume down button and Side button together and hold on.

2.When it shows up option “Slide to power off”, find the image icon “X” at the bottom of your screen. Click it. Then you can input your password to enter your iPhone X.



3.Or you can also click power button for 5 times to enter emergency screen, then click “X” image icon and enter your password to unlock iPhone X.

Disable Face ID on iPhone X Completely

When you want to disable Face ID on your iPhone X completely, you can follow below steps and have a try.

1.Unlock your iPhone X, go to Setting--Face ID & Password.

2.Enter your password when it needs, find option “iPhone Unlock” in the new screen, and turn the button off.



3.Now your Face ID will be disabled completely.
