Restore Lost WhatsApp Contacts from Contacts

Usually our WhatsApp ID are registered with our phone number, so when we save some contacts on our iPhone. And open WhatsApp, it will show us who are using WhatsApp, and we can send them WhatsApp messages directly.

But we can only get the WhatsApp contacts from our contacts, those whose phone number are not saved on our iPhone won’t be get back.

Restore Lost WhatsApp Contacts from Backups

If you have done some backups on your iTunes or iCloud before doing factory reset, now we can recover your lost WhatsApp contacts from your backups, but it just doesn’t support us to do it selectively.

For iTunes:

Launching your iTunes on PC, and update it with latest version. Then connect your iPhone with PC, when it’s recognized, go to Files--Summary, and you’ll see all your backup files on the left side bar.

Choose the backup files you need, tap on “Restore Backup”, and confirm with “Restore”.



For iCloud:

Connect your iPhone with Wifi, log in your iCloud with Apple ID and password.

Then go to Setting--General--Erase All Content and Settings, when all content and settings are erased, go to set up assistant with a hello screen.

Swipe to begin the set up progress, choose the files you need, tap on “Restore Backup”, and confirm with “Restore”.
