Will Updating iPhone Erase All our iPhone Data?

As some people feedback that they lost some iPhone data after updating to latest iOS version, but will updating iPhone erase all our iPhone data?

Actually not, only few people my lost some iPhone data, because of incompatible issue, or new iOS version isn’t stable ect. But when we backup our iPhone data before updating iPhone, thing will be much simple. So from this article, we’ll focus on teach you how to backup your iPhone data before updating it, then it will not erase all our iPhone data.

Backup iPhone Data on iTunes

iTunes is most people’s first choice when backup iPhone iPad data, now we can still use it here.

Launching your iTunes, connect your iPhone with PC. Then go to Files--Summary, tap on “Backup Now” on the right page, and confirm with “Backup”.



When finish backup, you can find your backup files from below folder address:

For Windows: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
For Mac ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

Backup iPhone Data on iCloud

Also we can use iCloud to backup our iPhone data, when iCloud storage space is enough.

Connect your iPhone with Wifi, go to Setting--iCloud, log in it with your Apple ID and password.

Then turn on iCloud driver and related app button, then tap on “Backup” at the bottom, and confirm with “Backup Now”.

Backup iPhone Data with iRefone
